Shaq Buys Krispy Kreme in Atlanta
Shaq buys Krispy Kreme in Atlanta and as partner of the famous doughnut chain, the proud owner of the Atlanta franchise will also be serving as the brand’s spokesperson.
In a statement, Shaq said that he is delighted to be part of Krispy Kreme. The company is known for spreading joy and supporting local communities and O’Neal is in full support of these advocacies. “Our goal is to help people find their happy place, and what better way than with a box of delicious Krispy Kreme doughnuts,” he added.
In an interview last year, it was revealed that Shaquille O’Neal was offered a partnership with the famous café Starbucks by Howard Schultz himself. Shaq turned it down and said “I looked at the great Howard Schultz’s face and said, ‘Black people don’t drink coffee, sir. I don’t think it’s gonna work.’ And you should have seen the look on his face.”
The basketball superstar has always loved Krispy Kreme doughnuts. In addition to his innumerable assembly of achievements, Shaq is now an entrepreneur of a sweet shop. His franchise is located in Ponce de Leon Avenue in downtown Atlanta. To commemorate his joining the company, Krispy Kreme offers a social media promotion for Halloween and it’s called “Shaq-or-Treat”.
